G588: Applied Spatial Statistics
Introduces concepts of traditional statistical analysis and extends them to include spatial data. Topics include statistical graphics, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, correlation and regression analysis, spatial means and spatial variances, point-pattern analysis, spatial autocorrelation, and elementary geostatistics. The emphasis is on developing analytical skills with practical applications in geography and the spatial sciences.
